Paragraph summarizing your Career highlights
I was lucky to work at Blast Zone, a small business toy manufacturer and online retailer, while in high school and college. They grew like mad and I got to experience the thrill of it. At Cal Poly SLO, I majored in accounting. During undergrad I interned in audit at EY in Palo Alto, CA. That was long enough for me to realize my real home is tax, in San Francisco, at PwC. I also moved closer to the passion I felt for small business by changing from working on public companies at EY to private companies at PwC. I’m lucky the right doors opened throughout my career because that is what lead me to open the doors to Hoppe Tax three years ago and why I am passionate about accounting today.
We are fortunate we can set aside and donate 10% of our profits annually to New Door Ventures in San Francisco. See more at https://hoppetax.com/10As a 100% distributed firm, with team members across the US, we are evolving how we coordinate volunteer days. Individually we volunteer and now we are getting into a quarterly rhythm to share pictures and stories on our Slack channel.
In the San Francisco business community, each month we coordinate a book discussion with business owners. There are some really amazing people in the group with perspectives that help us all to push our limits. New members are welcome https://hoppetax.com/books
